    By 28th December 1999 the FATWA was actioned. Aboard a 747‑400 bound for London, everyone now sleeping, a late-night toilet break to the rear of the plane, Peter sensed something was wrong. As passengers slept, seven clean‑shaven Arabic speaking men in black leather jackets revealed yellow plastic box cutters. They were moments away from hijacking the plane—although the CIA and FBI had been tracking since London’s “FATWA” declaration earlier that month, unknown to Peter they were not going to get involved as it was now a British matter. 

    With the world counting down to Y2K, Peter acted. A shove here and there, a clash, a sudden disruption—whether by instinct or defiance, he stopped what could have been the first 9/11 against Britain. Peter had luck on his side, as it was overwhelming, in the guise of a confused leader, wearing white headdress and white garb, he halted it all. The world never knew. History looked away, until the towers fell a year and a bit later. Perhaps the FBI and CIA should have stepped in earlier, who knows.
